CHRISTIAN WOMEN DAY

The charter below was signed by :

pastors, servants of God.

 

Preamble:
As signatories of the chart below,

in the unity of our faith,

we believe:

• That the Holy Scriptures, the Bible , is the ultimate authority in matters pertaining to faith and life

• In the only eternal tri-une God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

• In Jesus Christ our Lord, God manifested in the flesh, born of the Virgin Mary, sinless in His humanity, His miracles, His expiatory, redemptive death,

• His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatory work, His personal return in power and glory.

• In the salvation of man who is lost and sinful, his justification not by works but through faith alone because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ our Lord, the need for repentance and the new birth, the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit

• In the Holy Spirit who comes to dwell in us and fills us with His love, empowers us to serve Jesus Christ with His joy, to live a holy life in His peace and enables us so that our lives bear testimony to others through our words and deeds

• In the true unity in the Holy Spirit of all believers who together form the universal Church, the Body of Christ

• In the resurrection of all men:
  - those who are lost will be resurrected to be judged
  - those who are saved will be resurrected for eternal life.

• As we acknowledge the vision that Motse Akanati received from Jesus Christ:
  In the heat of the 1997 Civil War in Congo, Motse desperately cried out to her heavenly Father and promised Him that if she came out safely from that raging fire, she would proclaim the goodness of God throughout the nations.

God miraculously protected her and her two children and commanded her to go and tell others what He had done for her.
After her husband died, she experienced God’s faithfulness in her life as a young franco-congolese widow. She is convinced that Jesus is the same yesterday, to-day and forever.
The Holy Spirit has strengthened her in her trials, blessed her as an artist and led her to hold women’s meetings where testimonies are shared.
Shortly after that, she received the conviction that she should officially make March 18th Christian Women Day
B. As we recall that, in 1977, the United Nations officially declared March 8th as International Women Day and that many events concerning women take place in the month of March,
C. As we consider that, in the third millennium, Christian women are called to assume more responsibility in society through their consecration and bearing witness daily to their families, in their places of work and diverse activities.
D. As we believe that, in God's thought, a woman is a helper suitable for man (Genesis 2:18).
Article 1
We officially dedicate March 18th as Christian Women Day
Our objective is to have women unite on this specific day in order to more particularly bear witness to the person of Jesus Christ and His work in favour of women.
Article 2
The day will be particularly dedicated to:
- common actions of Christian women of all denominations who want to encourage and exhort one another to live lives honouring God.
- meetings to testify of their faith in Jesus Christ and what He has accomplished in their lives.
Article 3
The day will give opportunity to enhance the talents of Christian women through exhibits of their cultural, artistic and handcrafted creations.
